After the incident that was... Hyper Light Breaker. I don't really look forward to games anymore. I don't get hyped as much as I used to. I'd much rather wait and see once its released and had some time in the hands of players. People fell for No Man Sky, Fallout 76, & Cyberpunk 2077. Still, there will always be unreleased games that catch my eye. Some are recommendations from family, others simply look interesting.

A brutal game that really makes you fear death. The sound design is perfect for making you genuinely dread the pain you're putting the creature you play through. It has an incredible health system paired with mini-games for each condition. From depression to stopping bleeding or pulling out glass, it's all so unique.
Soul Split is a magical action-roguelite set within a cursed dungeon sequestered near the edge of the world.

Beautiful PS2 style graphics paired with a cooldown based magic system (I hate mana based systems so much). It looks like a lot of fun and very similar to Wizard of Legend in all the right ways.
After quitting her dead-end job, Fiona starts over on a farm and becomes the immortal herald of a dead god.

Pixel art from Celeste, and music from Hyper Light Drifter. Need I say more? I can already tell that the music is going to be amazing, and the art reminds me a lot of Death Trash which excites me.
Over the course of 6 weeks, Ling seeks to find out more about this world in order to unravel the mysteries surrounding his own life... and death.

OneShot was a incredible game, so I am more than happy to see more work from Future Cat LLC. The style looks really pretty, I love the colour choice and style. Not too big on Farming Sims but I am more than happy to give it a shot.
Meet Fade, the main character of this action RPG, who is painfully aware that you are controlling her.

My sister recommended this game to me, and it's listed as similar to Hyper Light Drifter and Omori. So I already know I'm going to enjoy it. Style looks good, I'm sure you can tell but I love pixel games.

Noir + Detective seems like a great combo and yet I haven't seen anything like it in quite some time. Not usually my cup of tea either but I do wanna see what this game achieves. At worst I watch a friend play it, at best I give it a shot myself.
Deeply atmospheric and personal journey of a strange, strange man - with handcrafted music, visuals, dialogue, and challenges.

The art style gives me Night in the Woods vibes. I love the idea handcrafted games and passion projects, and this one caught my eye and has kept my attention. Very curious to see where it ends up.
Am I Nima is a psychological-horror game where you must convince your mom that you really are her daughter. Get her to trust you.

A recommendation from a friend. Watched him play it out of nowhere and I really liked what I saw from the demo. It has a genuinely great gimmick that plays upon the horror of implication and interpretation.
Face other operators and player-controlled anomalies, but beware: mistakes can risk your life and gear.

I am afraid that they went from making a modern Evolve, to making another extraction shooter. I really hope it works out, I really like the idea of playing as the monster against tactical teams in an open world. I'll still give it a shot, but majority if not all extraction shooters die eventually, and I would hate to see this one suffer the same fate.
