I didn't know where to start with my website. I knew what I wanted on it but I didn't know where to start in terms of design.
I then found a website that looked really clean and really simple. It helped me understand how .CSS and .HTML works together. And once I understood it,
I began to build off of it and add in the content I wanted in my site.
And now that I have all the content, I do hope to eventually re-style it into my own image.

A great tool to use if you want to learn how to draw and don't know where to start. I never finished the course but it is my go-to place for the fundamentals and whenever I wanted to learn some theory or to practice a particular skill.
The largest collection of free stuff on the internet! Ranging from: Privacy, Streaming, Music, Gaming, Reading, Downloading, Torrenting, Education, iOS, Linux, macOS, non-english sites, and more.

I don't use this site to it's fullest extent but I do like using it for finding good streaming sites with a lot of content.
Beyond that whenever I need to look for a tool, I can typically find a reliable one on this site.
Some of my favourites are: Everything, Wiztree, WinGet, & f.lux.
Krita is a professional FREE and open source painting program. It is made by artists that want to see affordable art tools for everyone.
An intuitive user interface that stays out of your way. The dockers and panels can be moved and customized for your specific workflow.
Once you have your setup, you can save it as your own workspace. You can also create your own shortcuts for commonly used tools.

Krita is great if you want to learn to draw digitally. If you don't want to deal with a subscription or a paid drawing program Krita is the best free option available. It's fast and it works great for anyone at any skill level. It can even do animation if you're daring enough. Back when I used to draw often, it was the tool I ended up using and still use to this day.
A custom version of Firefox, focused on privacy, security and freedom.
LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements.
This is achieved through our privacy and security oriented settings and patches.
LibreWolf also aims to remove all the telemetry, data collection and annoyances, as well as disabling anti-freedom features like DRM.

While I love Firefox, I wanted something a little more. Especially as they kept changing the browser in ways that I just didn't mesh with. And after doing my research I ended up with Librewolf, and I love it. It's a privacy focused search browser with plenty of privacy focused features enabled. Cookies and website data is removed on closure, fingerprinting and trackers are turned off, location services are disabled. And best of all, because it's based on firefox, I get to keep my Multi-Account Containers addon. Which I also highly recommend.

I have little to no use for a VPN Service. I don't have a practical need for one, considering I never use public WiFi, and I already have safeguards setup for browsing at home. But if I were to use one it would definitely be Mullvad + Tailscale. I've heard only good things about their service and while I can't personally recommend them, I have friends and coworkers who vouch for it's privacy focused service.

Proton AG is a Swiss technology company offering privacy-focused online services and software. It is majority owned by the non-profit Proton Foundation.

I don't like the idea of putting all my services in one Basket, but I also don't have infinite money. So compromising on privacy for the sake of financials, I decided to go with Proton for my cloud storage, mail, and password management. Once upon a time I used Keeper for password management, and while I recommend it I don't think it's cost is worthwhile for personal use unless you're well off.

De-googling myself didn't just involve removing chrome, gmail, and google drive. It also involved changing my search engine. At first I wasn't sure on what to use and then I found SearXNG. It's great, I get to choose whatever search engine I want to use and I don't have to deal with AI created information at the top of my searches.
uBlock Origin (uBO) is a CPU and memory-efficient wide-spectrum content blocker for Chromium and Firefox. It blocks ads, trackers, coin miners, popups, annoying anti-blockers, malware sites, etc., by default using EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Peter Lowe's Blocklist, Online Malicious URL Blocklist, and uBO filter lists.

Long term I hope to setup uBlockDNS and forgo having advertising on my whole network. But until I have the time and energy to set that up, U Block Origin will remain installed wherever and everywhere I can get it. Unlike other adblockers, that sometimes fail or cause certain sites to tell you to turn it off or it won't load. U Block just works.
