Soemtimes you forget the games you grew up with. The games that taught you how to play and that helped you identify what you liked from what you love. I don't want to forget those games, and I am sure I never will. But it never hurts to have them all listed somewhere.

One of the first games I ever played. I remember asking my dad as a young age if I could use the Nintendo 64. He didn't say yes the first time but he did eventually let me and my siblings play. We had it setup in the living room, 4 beanbags, 2 controllers and each of us took turns playing it. No more than 30 minutes to an hour before we handed the controller over to someone else. One save file, one playthrough, but no completion. We got right up to the final boss fight and could never beat it. I'm sure the game doesn't hold up well today. But it most definitely holds a lot of value to me.
Drawn to Life requires the player to create a Hero in order to free a cursed village from an encroaching darkness.

Drawn to Life and its sequel aren't the best of games. The gameplay is passable at best. But its world, art, story, characters are all incredible. I remember really liking the main cast: Mari, Jowee, Wilfre, & Heather. But I think my favourite character was Mya. There isn't much more to say about it other than it being a creative game on the DS. Definitely worth playing if you're into emulation.

One of the first PC games I played. I remember me and my brothers would have two PCs next to each other and pretend we were playing co-op. My favourite level was Assault on the Control Room, in the PC version you could climb straight up the control room with one well placed jump. And if you fell? You'd find a rocket launcher. Outside of the campaign though, I remember playing plenty of PvP, Zombies and even entering a chatroom at one point. It was blood gulch with no weapons, only vehicles. Everyone would just hang around and chat, it was really chill.

I'm not really a big fan of Jak and Daxter these days but I do remember liking it a lot growing up. It was like an alternative version of Donkey Kong 64. It was a fun platformer that was both open-world and without load screens, which for a PS2 game is rare. It didn't really take itself too seriously, had a goofy style and was very colourful which I liked as a kid. Definitely was a fun game that stood out from the rest.

Another DS game that I really liked. Never finished it, but I remember it fondly as my first proper survival game. It was really interesting, and difficult. I didn't know what to do or where to go but I had fun with it. I remember only finding the game on a DS Chip that my grandad gave me. It was called a R4 Chip and it had 100s of games on it. Little did I know that it was a collection of unauthorized ROMs, but hey it lead me to play a lot more games than I otherwise would have.

Everyone has a preference on which Mario RPG game is best. Some say it is Paper Mario, others like Bowser's Inside Story. But for me? It has to be Partners in Time. It did this really fun thing where instead of having abilities and mana, you instead had items that you'd use to activate different attacks. It was a difficult game and somewhat long, but I really enjoyed it. Had a lot of fun playing through it from start to finish.

A dungeon crawler with beautiful music, great characters and amazing gameplay. I've heard that explorers of sky perfected the mystery dungeon games and honestly that statement holds up. I still think fondly of this game, really enjoyed the quiz at the start, the idea of becoming a Pokémon and exploring a world with only Pokémon. I remember becoming a shinx and I think shinx became a favourite Pokémon of mine through this game, that and Grovyle of course.

My first main line Pokémon game was Pokémon Pearl but the one I remember the most was SoulSilver. It wasn't perfect as I recently found out by replaying it, the level curve is kind of awkward but I absolutely love its pixel art, power balance, all the extra side content. Having your Pokémon follow you, playing through the Pokeathlon was amazing, and getting to explore other regions in one game was really cool at the time. It just had the vibes which is shown as it's still ranked really highly despite its age and flaws.

My favourite playstation game. And the best Ratchet and Clank game too. It has amazing weapons, fun characters, great maps and to top it all off it had some fun replayability. I did play a fair few of the other Ratchet and Clank games but nothing beats the gunplay for Ratchet and Clank 3. Miniturret Glove & Spitting Hydra were some of my favourite guns. Not to mention the classics, Ry3no, Gloves of Doom and the Wrench. I do like that the game had a good few experimental weapons too like the holoshield glove.

The main gaim I played in HighSchool during class when I finished all the required material. It was fun, it was addictive and so simple of a game. I don't have a high score I remember, or a moment associated with the game. It was just a fun way to pass the time.

I remember watching my brother play this game and being really interested in it. Enough to find it and play it on my own phone. Except the game I got wasn't what I was shown. My brother was in something called the 'execution room' a single room you had to clear over and over without any healing items. The more rooms you clear, the more XP and gear you got. The game I actually got? Had a story, had character classes, had some grinding and some linear progression. But it was a lot of fun, especially for a game tht was free to play and on mobile. It's not a great game, it has a lot of flaws, and is somewhat pay to win late game since you're level locked lower than what you'd need to finish the game. But it was still a lot of fun.
