Note

Just like with videogames, anime can have some pretty great music to go with it. Usually this is left to just the opening and ending but on occasion you'll find some gold throughout the whole experience.

A picture worth a thousand words

Link Click is currently ranked within the top 100 of all animated media on MyAnimeList. The first season is incredible, taking an episodic 'short story' approach to each episode. Not really following an over arching plot right until the end where it sneaks up on you. The second season then takes the setup and world building from the first season and expands on it akin to the story structure of a lot of other anime. Beyond the anime itself, the music has been perfectly crafted to fit with the story and it's themes. It's breathtaking.

one is all and all is one

The music in Fullmetal Alchemist goes the path of quality over quantity. Making use of the fact the world is set in the early 1900s each track fits within that timeframe. Orchestral instruments played in a classical style that is always appropriate for the situation, every song empowers the scene before you and never takes you out of the moment. Beyond the OSTs, the opening and ending songs are also incredible, Again, Rain, Uso rightfully earn their spot as my top 3.

Sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind.

Arcane is a really pretty and fun anime. And while the music sometimes feels like exposition for a scene, the songs on their own are pretty good. I really love the song choices for Echo and Jinx scenes. 'Ma Meilleure Ennemie' & 'Dynasties and Dystopia' are top notch. While 'What Could Have Been' was the perfect ending to season 1. The music might not be for everyone but it definitely worked for me.

What cannot change can only be broken.

Read the manga, and listen to the music. That is the best way to enjoy Tokyo Ghoul. The 'anime' that was given to us was so poorly done that it is a crime. So much wasted potential for a manga that was a beautiful piece of fiction. Sui Ishida deserved better.

Something a little different

Usually people make MVs using existing songs and existing animations and just slam the two together to make something kinda new. Eve however makes their own music and their own animation. And the end result is beautiful. It's like the Asian equivalent of Good Kid. 'Fight Song' has a really interesting world that I want to know more about, while 'As You Like It' has a really fun vibe.
