Both Unaccountable Silence and Flicker were spur of the moment ideas for me. There isn't a lot of art of either of them, but I find the lore and world of rain world really compelling. It has a lot of great visual identity and I would love to expand that world even if in only a small way.

An iterator that never gave up on the great problem.
Being apart of the forensic effort to figure out what happened to Sliver of Straw, Unaccountable Silence took it upon himself to re-create Sliver of Straw's work.
Unaccountable Silence is a distant iterator located within the same local group as Sliver of Straw. Prior to the broadcast network breaking apart he spent a lot of his time silently observing the wildlife and his fellow iterators. It was only once Sliver of Straw abruptly died and sent out the triple affirmative that he really became active within the iterator community. Due to his superstructure being local and close to Sliver of Straw he was asked to join the forensic effort, being assigned the task of collecting information out of Sliver's now inactive superstructure. And while the effort was a failure and most iterators moved on, Unaccountable Silence remained curious and determined to re-create the same phenomenon as Sliver of Straw did.
Eventually, every iterator gives up on solving The Great Problem. And after they do, most either go insane or spend their time simply chatting with other Iterators. For Unaccountable Silence, he spent his time rebuilding his superstructure. While he couldn't modify his own cells and organic parts, he could at the very least construct, re-route and refine his processes. And by doing so he was able to make space in his superstructure for a new purpose. Creating a ecosystem with natural flauna and flora that was protected from the rain and allow the creatures to return to a life style that wasn't adapted to the heavy rain caused by the iterators.

Stuck within the cycles
Quick yet quiet, flicker is a modified cyan lizard able to travel through the cycles. Being a lizard that can vanish and reappear, he's a lizard you'd hope to only see in the distance.
Taking the work left behind by Sliver of Straw, Unaccountable Silence tried to re-create the triple affirmative. The results of such efforts all ended in failure, with one test subject, the final test subject becoming the complete opposite of the solution. Flicker is a being that will be forever trapped within the cycles, a lizard that cannot ascend and will remain in a world that will slowly wither away. Ever since his creation, Unaccountable Silence has refused to re-attempt what Sliver achieved.
Every lizard in Rain World has some unique trait. White Lizards can camouflage, Yellow Lizards can communicate telepathically, while Cyan Lizards can launch themselves at high speeds.
Flicker originally was a cyan lizard before he was turned into a Echo Lizard. As such his unique ability is an altered version of the Cyan Lizards ability to launch themselves.
Instead of being able to leap, Flicker can vanish from a cycle for a small period of time before returning to the same cycle.
As far as the viewer is concerned he is able to teleport. When he vanishes he leaves some of his tail shards behind, floating in the air before vanishing into nothing.
When he reappears, his tail will still be missing it's shards, after a short delay they'll begin to re-appear. During this time he won't be able to teleport again.
